Misogyny
Regarding women with disrespect, condensention, or as 'precious & in need of protection" are all examples of misogyny. Holding women, regardless of their individual talents, to a set of standards and/or rating them against a set criteria -to which you do NOT apply to men "boys will be boys" is more misogyny. Telling women, just because they're women, how to live their lives, robbing them of rights and responsibilities of being an adult by making her choices for her, is yet more misogyny.
This is why laws such as MS 26 simply must be DEFEATED.
She is not a child in need of your guidance. Your religion may demand from you what hers does not demand from her and it should be her own choice that guides her, not yours. Otherwise, she's not an adult. Either you believe in each American citizen's inalienable rights which include life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness for all Americans regardless of their gender or you do not. If she can vote, then her voice must be honored. No zygotes vote. Furthermore, my choice has no impact upon your choice.
Have all the babies you wish but kindly stay out from under my skirts, thank you. Especially since it was you and those like you who created this world where women who have children out of wedlock go through hell while 'baby-daddies' waltz free and clear. "She should have kept her legs closed." Not only does that statement show a shameful lack of sexual imagination, it also absolves the man from any responsibility. So much for being 'precious & in need of protection".
Freedom of religion requires freedom from religion. Her religion is her business as yours is yours - if her religion is 'no religion' then that's her choice and it should receive just as much protection as yours does. Equality before the law demands it or don't you believe in the First Amendment & The 14th Amendment to the United States Constitution? You cannot have it both ways. Women or zygotes. Women or zygotes.
Leave the decision to the woman who will bear the burden.
Respect her right to live her life as she sees fit.
I do try to limit current politics involvement in sexual matters. Unfortunately, the need to give a voice to those too often robbed of theirs by their fellow men, who seem to feel this need to control women, simply cannot be ignored. Please stop trying to find meaning in your life by meddling in the lives of others. We can handle it ourselves. Thank you.
Primordial Sex
Prior to the advent of agriculture, human beings lived in small communal groups of 100 or so persons. Marriage did not exist but if you're picturing the caveman dragging a cavewoman off by the hair, you're mistaken. More likely, our lusty caveman was taking his place in the queue calmly awaiting his turn with her. Both men and women were free agents and could mate or not with whichever partner suited their fancy. Jealousy was the major taboo since jealousy violated the central ethic of sharing. So our current modern theory of man sequestering his woman and keeping her to himself to assure himself of his paternity is very wrong for the pre-agricultural period.
Those who come closest to living a primordial sex life in the modern world are swingers aka those in the Lifestyle where, within certain boundaries, women and men can participate in this sharing of partners and participate in group sex. True to form, those who are jealous are counseled to not become swingers/Lifestylers because no one wants to have to deal that kind of drama. What we learn from studying this primordial sexual behavior is that jealousy is NOT natural and NOT inevitable but instead is a taught behavior with the aim of controlling women's sexuality without any regard for her happiness as witnessed by such practices of binding feet, cutting off clitorises, worshipping virginity and branding certain women whores making them social outcasts and targets of abuse.
We also learn that women are not naturally passive or timid when it comes to sex. In those few remaining immediate-return hunter-gatherer societies the women are just as sexually assertive as the men if not more so given women's greater sexual capacity. There are groups who believe that the more sperm, the healthier the child and in those societies, the women are aggressive in their pursuit of additional sperm once pregnancy has been confirmed. Far from feeling jealous, the 'husband' is grateful since the other men have generously contributed to the health of his child.
Such an example shows that what we believe controls how we behave. Your policies rule how you live your life. Given the current deplorable statistics, it is certainly time for an honest review of these beliefs and policies.
Selecting the Right Partner
One of the major difficulties in life is selecting the right people whether as an employer or as a private person seeking sexual enjoyment or a spouse. While employers can form a hiring committee, I do not suggest you go hunting for a potential partner with a checklist in hand as that indicates you’re a business, not a private person.
If you haven’t attended American high schools and learned in that rough and tumble dating arena, then you haven’t had sufficient experience in dating or correctly handling emotional content. Those of you who did attend but didn’t date are also behind the power curve for one of the most important items you need out there in the real world is a radar you can trust.
Both men and women seek precisely the wrong thing – excitement – when they go hunting. They see someone sparking and having a good time and think WOW! He/she would be WILD! EXACTLY! The first you have to learn is to stay away from crazy! You will so pay for trying to rescue someone, trying to help someone and get so bent out of shape and disillusioned if you get involved with people who are out of control or involved with anything illegal or immoral. You don’t need that kind of trouble, you have enough to be getting on with.
Next point, also both for men and women, if it seems too good to be true – it is. He/she’s playing with you and isn’t serious so enjoy the attention and still say no, thanks. If someone way out of your league lands in your lap – don’t take it seriously. Not at first. He/she has his/her reasons – find out what they are before you get involved.
Next do not be a pushover. Do not be controlling. Do not ignore ANY red flags. If your skin crawls – get away – fast. Just be yourself without pretense or apology. A quiet confidence and a joyful outlook wins all – every time. Look beyond the packaging and find the person behind the façade. By being yourself, you will repel those who aren’t suitable and attract those who are. By doing this repeatedly, you will develop a discerning radar and will find the right person for you.
